Bess Myerson, noted ex-Miss America, dead at 90

In late September 1945, Bess Myerson won one of the most
famous beauty contests in America. Bess won the Miss America pageant but the
only thing different with her was she was not American, she was Jewish. Growing
up in the Bronx she hand the true rags-to-riches story. With her dad being a
house painter sadly died at the age of 90.

After she won she became a huge celebrity. Becoming a TV
show co-host on the show I've got a Secret. Many other Pageant winners tried to follow her
and become a celebrity in the same way. After she won the world found out about
how the holocaust truly affected the world. She died in Santa Monica California
